A teacher presentation for unit 3.10 Introducing large ict systems into organisations:
Our Year 12 team have started working on their AS Coursework projects. The presentation below outlines the requirements of their write-up as well as the process they should go through when carrying out similar projects. NOTE: The presentation only outlines the first few lessons.
I normally like to embed any images, videos, resources etc. into my blog posts BUT this INFOGRAPHIC is huge so I will just link to it. Click here to see an excellent visual information point for understanding how to get a job at 3 of the most sort after companies in the world.
"Why I love the tech industry. This is such a clear example of why I love the geeks who build things."
The raw emotion of this 29 year old women, hearing herself for the first time is heart felt, inspiring and appreciative of what some incredible people are able to do with technology.
This is exactly why I love my job (Teacher of ICT). Seeing the positive impact ICT has in medicine, in education, in society as a whole is inspiring. Being able to share my enthusiasm for my subject with children and young adults, will hopefully rub off on them and maybe encourage and inspire them to do something great with this thing we call 'technology'.

A nice short unit at last but still as important as all the rest. Links heavily with unit 3.4 ICT Strategy and again needs context to ensure understanding.
WOW! you thought the last unit was a long one....This one is a shocker. LOTS to cover here and we thought the best way to approach this unit (ICT Strategy) was to combine some of 3.3 and 3.4 together as it is mentioned in both.
A long unit and a difficult one to grasp without context. Remember Year 13 team, imagine a scenario, an organisation and apply this theory to that scenario to gain a better understanding of the content.
This unit was always going to take a while. After conducting some research we soon realised that over the last five AS INFO 2 exam papers fourteen of the questions had been on this unit.
The year 12 team dealt with this sensibly and it's probably been the best unit we've covered so far with regards to participation and effort.
