Year 12 ICT Coursework Write-up
Our Year 12 team have started working on their AS Coursework projects. The presentation below outlines the requirements of their write-up as well as the process they should go through when carrying out similar projects. NOTE: The presentation only outlines the first few lessons.
Logos
The Year 12 team are developing their photo editing skills using image manipulation software. This is in preparation for them using such software to develop the corporate identities and logos for their clients.
We will soon be talking about the importance of simplicity, creativity and originalitywhen developing a logo as well as the core focus 'making sure that the logo is relevant to the organisation, its business and its ethos'. Year 12 Spreadsheet Project
Today our Year 12 Team were presented with their next client brief.
Mr D Griffiths 
owner of My 'Puter Shop discussed his business and current system with the students.
It's clear to see from the presentation below that there is an obvious problem within the business. It is the job of each member of the Year 12 Team to provide a working solution. They must then create a test plan and carry out each test on their system before submitting the completed project.
Any queries or questions relating to the solution must be directed towards Mr. Griffiths, after all he is the client and the end user!
AQA INFO 1 Coursework Write-up Requirements
The coursework for the INFO 1 project will be taken into the written exam and a series of questions will be asked in relevance to the work completed.
It is important that we cover all aspects of the Analysis phase of our project. That we document the process we have undertaken in order to complete our work and that we show clear evidence of our understanding of the problem we have provided a solution for.
The presentation below outlines the different sections of the Analysis phase required in your coursework write-up. By covering these sections you give yourself a good chance that the questions asked in the exam can be answered with ease and the appropriate evidence is provided.
Year 12 Homework – coursework write up
This week the Year 12 Team have been concentrating on their write ups for their coursework. They have been set the following homework to be completed for the first day back after the Eid Holiday, that being Sunday 21st November.
Homework:
When you arrive back to school after the Eid Holiday I expect the Coursework write up for your website project to be up-to-date.
Up-to-date means that you have finished the entire write up for tasks identified in this document. You have guidance available, in that you can access the year 13 CW done so far (this is in the Year 12 shared Dropbox folder). Please note that year 13 have only done up to ‘Requirements of the client’.
Remember your designs should be that good, you could give them to anyone else and they could design the website you plan to build.
If you require the interview recordings that were conducted before the holiday they too can be found in the Year 12 Dropbox folder, those who did not have time to do the interview please note that this will be taken into consideration when you hand in your homework.
