These are going to be VERY useful for the Year 12 team. Past papers and mark schemes are excellent revision resources and should be used in-line with the theory notes taken in class.

This unit was always going to take a while. After conducting some research we soon realised that over the last five AS INFO 2 exam papers fourteen of the questions had been on this unit.
The year 12 team dealt with this sensibly and it's probably been the best unit we've covered so far with regards to participation and effort.
Why have I posted this image? How is it relevant to the work we have produced (are producing)? Why might it apply to our theory? What does this image illustrate? How can we try and prevent this from happening in the projects we develop?
Lots of questions, please share your thoughts (leave a comment)
Recently the Year 12 team have been completing some test questions to check their understanding of the units we have covered.
Unfortunately some of us are struggling with answering the questions and it's not because of our subject knowledge. It's because we are not use to ICT exam questions especially at AS Level.
In order to try and resolve this problem we have gone through the following presentation and tried to identify how we can improve our answers by:
- Understanding the instruction e.g. Explain, Discuss, Describe
- Understanding the importance of the 'marks' awarded for each question and learning how to use these as a guide for the content of our answers.
Please let us know what you think of the presentation and whether we have missed anything from it.
The coursework for the INFO 1 project will be taken into the written exam and a series of questions will be asked in relevance to the work completed.
It is important that we cover all aspects of the Analysis phase of our project. That we document the process we have undertaken in order to complete our work and that we show clear evidence of our understanding of the problem we have provided a solution for.
The presentation below outlines the different sections of the Analysis phase required in your coursework write-up. By covering these sections you give yourself a good chance that the questions asked in the exam can be answered with ease and the appropriate evidence is provided.
